Bernadette has one daughter who is a doctor in the North East.

Bernadette is very much a local girl. Born in Hindley, she attended St Benedicts school followed by the Notre Dame High School for girls in Standishgate, Wigan.

Bernadette has lived in Wigan throughout her life and indeed still lives here in the town.
